Karachi : Recent operation in Layari by PPP government may have the consequences like Lal Masjid operation did for Musharaf and Q league government in past.
The Layari is the only constituency of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in Karachi and the was counted a shield against the MQM.
The recent operation in Layari, which was started for two days and ended today after eight days claimed more than 30 lives and ended with results that all layari became against PPP and Zardari government.

Though apparently rivals, it seems that MQM has planned well against PPP govt, by creating rift between two groups of PPP, i.e. Balochs and kachis of Layari, which resulted in the breaking of kachis from PPP and the made alliance with MQM. With the help of Interior Minister Rehman Malik, who has announced operation against the Balochs of Layari, MQM has once again got success in the shape of Layari Baloch breaking away from PPP govt.
The Layari Operation only brought miseries for common people with police acting as an army shooting against enemy posts. With hospitals closed and Ambulance services blocked, Aslam Choudary of CID police boosted that the operation against gangsters will be concluded with in two days, but it continued for eight days with out any achievement.
With such an illegal and unplanned operation, the PPP govt is now licking her wounds which she inflicted on her own body. Not only they lose the stronghold of PPP in Karachi but loose many seats in the Bloch areas.
