Lyari Operaion and Rehman Malik

Lyari in Early 1900s

Karachi : Pakistan's Interior Minister Rehman Malik, now known as "Boosting Malik", declared on Thursday that the operations against the Lyari gang war will not be stopped at any cost and Lyari has become the sanctuary of Taliban, BLA, Alqaeda, and different gang war groups.

Rehman Malik told media that, "We have acquired modern satellite technology to locate the terrorists and have hired four helicopters to assist the police in operation."

On Friday we saw police immediately withdrawing from Lyari operation, which was stopped suddenly with out any outcome.

Reacting on the questions made by media persons, Rehman Malik said that operation will continue and police force has withdrawn due to strategical point of view and we have given terrorist 48 hours to surrender.

That 48 hours also passed but operation did not resumed, instead Rangers took over the control of Lyari.

On Sunday, Interior Minister Rehman Malik visited the trans-Lyari areas but didn’t go deep into the Lyari proper.

He took a round of the ICI bridge on Mauripur Road, Kharadar, New Chali, Napier Road and Lea Market where he met people who complained of sufferings they had undergone in the week long operation. They said that if an operation had to be carried out, Rangers should be given the task.

Mean while, the life returned back to normal immediately after the closer of operation in Lyari and once again people of Lyari showed that they love peace.
