US Seeks apology from Pakistan on Salala Check post attack

Smoke Rises after Pakistani border Check Post was attacked by Nato
Islamabad: According to Pakistani media reports United States has at last apologized from Pakistan on Salala check post attack which claimed 24 Pakistani Soldiers lives, in reaction Pakistan closed Nato Supplies towards Afghanistan and demanded a full apology.

Since, United State has been reluctant to get apology from Pakistan on the issue. Pakistan's firm stance to not permit its territory for supply routes towards ISSAF forces put pressure on US to apologies.

According to Washington Post the Obama administration has announced that Pakistan was reopening its supply lines into Afghanistan, after the U.S. belatedly issued an apology for the November killing of 24 Pakistani troops in a NATO airstrike.

“We are sorry for the losses suffered by the Pakistani military,” Clinton said in a statement, recounting her discussion with Pakistani counter part Hina Rabbani Khar.

“I offered our sincere condolences to the families of the Pakistani soldiers who lost their lives. Foreign Minister Khar and I acknowledged the mistakes that resulted in the loss of Pakistani military lives.”

Significantly, Hillary Clinton used world "Sorry" not "Apology" in her statement, which is also heavily discussed in Pakistani media.

Pakistani statement on opening the Nato Supplies is expected tomorrow after parliament's approval on the issue.

Today Defence Committee also met and discussed the issue and some high level meeting are also taking place in Pakistani Capital.
